So many times John refers to periods of time such as 42 months even a thousand years as if he actually lived through them. Could it be possible he experienced all this in real time? Could John during his vision have experienced the passing of over a thousand years such that his small cave in Patmos felt like an alien world from the distant past by the time he returned to it?
