When most horses today retire at 3 or 4, Citation was forced to run by his owner. His owner had cancer, and wanted Citation to be the first horse to win a million dollars. So he raced him at the ages of 5 and 6, with Citation losing close races that he shouldn't have lost. He finally won a million, but at what price glory?
