Lift Your Wings: Poetry - Prose & Short Stories

This book has something for everyone. Inspirational Poetry talking to a butterfly in LIFT YOUR WINGS, or building sand castles with a child in SHARING DREAMS UNSEEN. There is Poetry about real life as a kid (author) growing up in an orphanage in THE KIDS OF A.G.O.; a look into the mind in I AM AUTISTIC; and escapism in BOOZE BOTTLE BLUES. There are poems which will touch your heart such as PERFECTION MADE and KNOW YOUR LOVE; delve into the mind such as WITHIN A FOG; and perhaps give you a peek into the soul with UNFULFILLED, and THE WIND, THE SAND AND ME. No matter the type of thought provoking or emotional journey you wish to take via poetry, you should find it here among these 41 poems. In Prose is advice for a newly married couple in THE MARRIAGE GARDEN; and the struggles of THE NEW DREAM hoping to become realized. There are also other insights in Prose. There are three short stories and while they are all uplifting and inspirational, they are quite different. COOKIES is a story about a childhood friendship turned into high school love, which is interrupted by the Vietnam War. In FOUR ANGELS you will find a young boy determined to overcome obstacles and give his single mom and younger sister a special Christmas Day. DON'T ROLLER SKATE IN MUD offers an unusual look into the mind of a 40 yr. old successful businessman who decides to become an ascetic seeking spiritual direction. Included is an index with page numbers and titles so you can easily mark and find your favorites.
