This is a romantic fiction novel. Briana Campbell, a wealthy teenager from Beverly Hills. She has always lived in luxury and comfort which made her oblivious to how the real world works. As soon as she turns 18, her parents cut her off financially and force her to look for a job. They want her to become independent like they were at her age. Briana is scared at the thought of being left with no financial support but quickly picks herself up and manages to land a job as the Store Director' s Personal Assistant in one of the most prestigious Department Store in New York City. As Briana is becoming a woman, she experiences everything that comes with it including love and its heartaches. Chad, her childhood friend rejects Briana's love and pretends to be someone that he is not so that he does not have to deal with future prejudices. He knows that if they ever embark on a love affair, this would be doomed from the get go. Chad has a secret which he has been hiding from Briana all the years they have been friends. Her life gets even more complicated when her boss shows strong feelings for her. Will she make the right choice when it comes to her love life or will she be torn by the decisions which she has to make along the way?
