Legacy Of Strangers: An Epic Historical Saga Of Life, Love And Betrayal

Legacy of Strangers is the first in a series of historical novels by Australian-born New Zealander David Burke-Kennedy. It's an uncompromising glimpse of the gritty and unforgiving world of those struggling to survive in Victorian-era Ireland, England, Australia and New Zealand. Four strangers' lives change dramatically when they choose or are forced to leave their homelands for the promise of a better life. But the reality of their new world is harshly different. Their lives become entangled in violence, crime and prostitution, illicit romance and betrayal, with disastrous and fatal outcomes. You might think it's all fiction - but this engrossing drama is based on true-life events ... and the author's own Irish/Jewish heritage. As paths of the strangers cross, Legacy of Strangers gathers momentum to deliver a surprising outcome--Back cover.
