My Heart'S Last Journey

Hannah Gaines husband has died. Brad had been a good father but a husband who was a liar and a cheat. She is forced to make a deal with his law partners. With revenge and in exchange for all the money the partnership owed Brad, they would not tell her sons about their father's behavior. Devastated, Hannah agrees with their demands knowing she will barely have enough money to live on. To escape her problems, Hannah goes to Texas to stay with her sons. Here she meets and falls in love with Samuel Kingston Chandler, a widower whose wife had been dreadful to live with and had suffered a violent death. Sam is afraid to trust his heart to another woman and orders a background report on Hannah and her husband. His jealous nephew reads the report and threatens Hannah. Unless she leaves Sam and Texas he will tell everyone about the report. Hannah decides to tell her sons the truth, then vanishes. Both Sam and Hannah have reason to believe that they can never find love again. But they both deserve to take life's journey together.
