Anna Redd

Anna Redd, a stubborn and sarcastic 15-year-old girl, starts off her sophomore year moving from her hometown of New York City to Detroit due to her parents' divorce. At first, she thinks going to a new school after so long of staying in the same place will be hard, but she soon finds friends in four people; Raven Kirk, Crowe Janeway, Sparrow Picard, and Darrien Dawn. But, only on her second day, does she find out how different and dangerous her life is than she had ever thought before. After being attacked by one of the school bullies, who turns out to be a snake-humanoid vampire and Darrien coming to rescue her from death does she learn she is actually harboring the spirit that makes her a target for other vampires so they can get power. And being hunted by vampires, her best friends being birds, and her crush being a 600 year old vampire is only the beginning.
