Larry Woolverton is a 1965 graduate of Central High School, Muskogee, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the US Marines in October, 1965, and after boot camp in San Diego and infantry training at Camp Pendleton, Woolverton was sent to Viet Nam in 1966 with the 26th Marine Regiment. He was wounded in the Battle of Khe Sanh in 1968.
