While this book is about having the promises of God in your life it is also about sacrifice. Sacrifice and blessing go hand in hand. Building altars and rejoicing have to both be in a person's life for them to be truly fulfilled spiritually. Without sacrifice you will not be able to understand the joy of his suffering. Yes, there is joy in pain. The Bible is full of paradoxes but if you never sacrifice time in prayer, reading the Bible and praying the Bible you will never understand the concepts in the Bible. We have to be students of the Bible. It has to be as necessary to us as breathing. Is it necessary to you?
