In the last nine months or so, I have been involved in a Christian 12-step recovery program. I am not a recovering alcoholic or drug addict but God has had me involved. Many Christian ministers are against this program called 'CR' or 'Celebrate Recovery' because it is taken from a secular program called 'AA' or 'Alcoholic Anonymous'. But they really haven't looked over the twelve steps beyond what they have heard or seen in their limited exposure. But for me, in studying the twelve steps I see the basics needed for all levels of Christian discipleship and growth.
