Learn how Peggy Heindel-Freed begins her journey on a rural Pennsylvania Dutch farm and ends in a ministry that embraces societies lost and forgotten. She is born into a family surrounded by the spiritual demons of addiction and anger. She is thrust into city life at a young age. She first lives in a row home in York City and later lives across from the York County Detention Home for Youth on Pleasant Acres Road in the suburbs of York, Pennsylvania. The turmoil of the times which included race rioting, addiction, and verbal abuse leads to fear, anxiety, and illness. The hippy movement, women's lib, free sex, and free drugs leads to an era of confusion. Peggy's saving grace is her mother who leads her to God's redeeming love. She takes her faithfully every summer to Bible school at a little Mennonite Church. She prays every night with Peggy in her nightly ritual of tucking her into bed. Peggy accepts Jesus as her Savior. He reveals Himself to her through scripture and becomes her Father and Friend. Peggy prays intently for her family for years. They finally return to the country in the hills of Dover, Pennsylvania. Her father comes to Christ in a very profound way when Peggy is a young teenager. Even though her Dad is different, she is still filled with pain. She goes on a search to find out why her life was surrounded by addiction and abuse. She talks to the Lord day and night. She cries out for healing and the Lord answers. He leads her to a Christian healing. She moves back to the area near her grandparent's farm in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania. Peggy was blessed at a young age with a loving husband and two beautiful children. Peggy's healing begins when she help's a friend go through a drug rehab. She learns that addiction and abuse are generational. She realized the Lord used her to help save this young woman's life. She prays a very bold prayer that the Lord answers. She prays for the Lord to use her to help heal other families. God begins to use her to teach Sunday school and Bible school The Lord calls her at age forty to a ministry that takes her back to those same streets of York City that she grew up on to help women and children start over after hardships. Those hardships lead her into the prison, psych wards, and rescue missions as well as the court rooms to plead for the women who want to start over with the help of Jesus Christ. Peggy shares the "dance lessons" that the Lord taught her to reach freedom from her pain. It took a lot of hard work and studying the word of God to reach this point. She wants you to experience the same freedom that she has. If you are willing to reach out and do the work it takes, you can learn to dance through life's hardships. The Lord states in Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
