Marcy Murphy was on a career break from her employment and was out socialising with her friends when she suddenly informed them she was going to write a book. A general election to elect a new government was announced, and Marcy's political cronies recruited her to help with their canvass campaign. Following the general election, a by-election arose in Marcy's constituency, and she was headhunted to contest it. She won the seat.
