The disciples and the early Christians believed Jesus was a Prophet and he was killed by wicked Priests and buried. But he was resurrected after three days and walked away from his sepulture (burial chamber) and went to Galilee, his home town, to save himself from the wicked Priests. Later Jesus walked with and talked with two travelers. Jesus also appeared to disciples assembled in Jerusalem. Jesus showed them that he was made of flesh and blood and he wore the wounds of crucifixion. Then he went to a location outside Jerusalem and there he was raised up to heaven, in the presence of disciples. Mark does not talk about appearance of Jesus after the burial. Mathew wrote Jesus was seen alive twice before he went to heaven on a white cloud. John said Jesus was seen thrice and the last time was near the Sea of Tiberius where he cooked fish and ate dinner with them. Adding to the confusion, Quran, the Last Testament, which was revealed by angel Gabriel to Prophet Mohamed, six hundred years after the apparent death of Jesus, clearly said Jews did not crucify him and they did not kill him and it was only made to appear to them as such. Jesus was taken to heaven alive and he will come back to judge the world on the last day, according to Quran. This translation (TBIV) is the result of years of in-depth research. Difficult sentences have been simplified. True Believers' International Version Study Bible gives a comprehensive interpretation of the Holy Scripture. This study Bible explains the meaning of the verses in context. Different points of view are presented in long commentaries and the reader is left to draw his own conclusions. The multi-color edition has words of Jesus in 'Red'.
