I want to let youth know, that just like me, despite being raised in an environment where I could easily have ended up in jail or dead, I still saw the goodness of what life can bring. I know how hard life can be. Growing up to be a college basketball player and employee for the Oregon Youth Authority, I also knew that success can be achieved in spite of the many difficulties we face in life. People have come into my life to help make me become an NCAA athlete. I can use the same skills I was taught on the basketball court to help somebody change and make a difference.
