Northmen were fighters and conquerors and Tal Gor their King. They took what they wanted. None in the south could oppose them. One day, Tal Gor knew, the southern regions would be his. He would bend or break them to his will. With his armies, all rebellions would be answered swiftly until his name is spoken in every corner of his kingdom. That is what his father and his father's father had intended; that is what he would do. Vaenna tried to hide from the invading Northmen, but she was not fortunate the day that the Tal came to her village. One glimpse of her and the Tal claimed her, then took her as his own. Her own people scorned her for laying with him. The Wirs resented her for being a southerner. He knew, but he wanted her and no one would deny his want, his need to have her. Vaenna feared him; She Loved Him. He knew that she would be the key to help him expand his family and his kingdom. Vaenna's body proved easy, but Tal Gor would have to battle with his own inner turmoil to get her to forgive and trust him. He saw her as the key to uniting his nation. He wanted more than anything to claim her heart.
