Only In Andrews

Using local newspapers to tell the story of a small town with big dreams, the author traces the early history of Andrews (first known as Antioch), Indiana. From a small village of Miami Indians, led by Black Loon, to a town built along the Wabash Railroad tracks, the town expanded. Big change came as the Wabash made Antioch its division point. Many buildings were constructed, but as suddenly as the boom started, activity leveled off and then dropped as the railroad contracted its operations in Andrews before pulling out completely. Andrews met the challenge and became a thriving town again by the time the story ends in 1916.
