Elliot Floyd and Anita Stone are two Hollywood celebrities in the late 60s. cinema is blooming and they are in the midst of it all. He ia a young horror screenwriter who's become a household name in the horror cinema world, putting out half a dozen of best selling books and movie hits. His personal life suffers from hardships, a horrible writer's block, his movie studio demanding another hit film or he will face the end of his career and his ex-wife is suing him for half his fortune as his career starts to crumble. The newspaper shows information of a serial killer that's been on the lose in America's Freeway system, he decides to go on the road with his girlfriend so they can have a holiday but also so he can investigate further on these killings and start writing his new horror story. They soon realize that there is an underground world of crime and that they are being followed by a maniac that's threatening their lives... Will they escape dead or alive? Based on true events.
