Brooklyn born Michael O'Brien is contacted out of the blue by a young woman, Diana, who claims she is his illegitimate daughter. When she reveals that her mother is a former English flight attendant, Anna Trelevan, the sluice gates to his past are thrown open and a flood of suppressed emotions rise to the surface.
