Hunting The Machine: Linda's Story

Two hundred years in the future, a king controls what's left of North America. Food is the means by which he controls his subjects, and it is illegal to grow your own. Linda is caught with a secret plot of food growing in the near by forest, and has to run for her life. Later caught, she is brought in front of the king for her punishment, where he determines that at sixteen years old, she shall be married to his son. Eight years she is forced to live with a man that is cruel and unloving, before finally running away. Only she runs away by going into the past, and arriving in the year 2016. She is on a mission to change certain events to prevent the future from happening the way she knew it. Now she is faced with a new problem, the man and machine she needs to destroy, she is falling in live with. Eventually Linda must choose. Does she stay with the man she has fallen in love with or destroy everything and save the future, for billions of people. Can she really trade the love and life she had always wanted in order to save the world? Or is the future as locked in, as the past is?
