THE PRINCESS' KIMONO Pompom and Gitta are off on their grand adventure which takes them far away from their native Germany. Stanislav Kadinsky, Gitta's stepfather and a world-renowned violinist has invited the two friends on his tour to Japan. While Stanislav rehearses for his big concert, Pompom and Gitta are staying with an old friend of his, Takasugi-sama, a lady of royal blood, in her traditional Japanese house. There are many memorable events. One of them is a tea ceremony, conducted in the tea house on the premises. During the celebration, the famous PRINCESS' KIMONO, an heirloom of great value, is displayed. To everybody's horror, the irreplaceable kimono disappears the next day while everybody is out of the house. Pompom and Gitta ask themselves: Who would do such a despicable thing? Nobody can imagine, and there is not a single clue. Pompom, as usual, has her own ideas and is determined to find out who stole the precious kimono and why. It could have been a stranger, or a visitor, or a member of the household. But how could anybody be so cruel to the kind and beautiful Takasugi-sama and cause her such distress? Nobody can imagine, other than Pompom. Although she has some clues, she needs to uncover certain secrets to put the puzzle together. Her nose leads her, as always, in the right direction. Her solving of the case brings remarkable changes for everybody concerned.
