Habiba And Me: Some People Are Just Born Different.

Habiba and Me is a fiction narrative of a girl who befriends a young woman by the name Habiba. Habiba is treated and called a crazy woman by people because she sometimes behaves the way others don't understand, but Habiba is also an artist, and Aisha tries to understand her new friend better. Some people, like Habiba, are born with brains that tend to get sick, while others have experiences during their lives that make their brains sick. There are different causes of mental illnesses. Mental illness refers to a wide range of mental health conditions - disorders that affect your mood, thinking and behavior. When someone's body is sick, it is called a physical illness. Mental illnesses are a lot like physical ones except that they affect the brain and the mind instead of the entire body. Mental illnesses are also common- about 1 in 4 people around the world will have a mental illness at some point in their lives. Some people with mental illnesses like Habiba have a hard time paying attention to the real world. Other people with mental illnesses feel too sad or nervous to live their lives normally. Just like there are doctors and medicines for physical illnesses, there are therapists and special medicines for mental illnesses. Even though people with mental illnesses like Habiba might be different, it's important to remember that they are people like everyone else. Just because someone has a mental illness doesn't mean that they are scary, crazy or a witch. And just like you or I wouldn't like to be called a ''crazy person," people with mental illnesses don't like to be called names either.
