The Holidays have always been a special time in my family. A time to gather with family and friends, a time to trim the tree but most of all a time to reflect on all the gifts God has bestowed on us. When I was a little girl, my family started a tradition that I still do today. Every Christmas Eve, my grandmother would gather us around a small birthday cake at the stroke of midnight. We would sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. It is a tradition that has come to mean a lot to me over the years because my grandparents and dad are now with the Lord. But Every Christmas Eve, my husband, my mom and I still gather around that small birthday cake. After all isn't that what the holidays are about? Taking the time to Thank God for all the gifts you have in your life. This book combines the best of my family's recipes and also prayers that we used to say to celebrate them.
