Daisha finds that her ambition has died along with her husband. When he was lost in combat two years earlier, leaving not even a body to bring home, she stopped believing that she could accomplish anything in her life. She'd once dreamed of dancing in front of thousands, a peer of the great ballerinas. Now, she lives quietly in her small apartment, keeps her head down, and does her job.
