An ultimate drug should be easily synthesized possessing high level of target activity, chemical stability, minimum side effects and good penetration property. Mainly it should be non toxic and posses satisfactory pharmacokinetic properties. In this chapter improved optimization in drug-target interactions can be done using various design strategies i.e. improving pharmacokinetic properties of the drugs. Design strategies which improve the interaction by increasing the ability of the drug to reach its desired site of action, with increased lifetime are mainly focused. The ability of the drug to reach its site of action is one of the most important pharmacokinetic properties. For e.g. If we consider a drug which have a high interacting property with its target site but is low in reaching its sight of action is basically a poor drug in its pharmacokinetic sense . The property of the drug to reach its site of action is also an important factor. Therefore, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of a drug should be equally balanced and have equal concern in deciding which strategies must be used.
