When the supercomputers of the Western World went self-aware at tea-time on the second Thursday in June, after all of the name-calling and general rancour had died down, planet Earth was reduced to little more than an atomically scarred, barren wasteland. As is the case in most post-apocalyptic scenarios, there were pockets of survivors, most of them taking to rampaging around the devastated countryside upon vulgar looking motorcycles which had been converted to run on vegetable oil. By cleverly manipulating the timelines, the semi-retired Archangel Gabriel and his son, Jeremy, have been tasked by their Big Boss to put an end to the infernal computers before the holocaust event ever happens, and what better way of doing that than to inveigle themselves into the late 1970's, a time when the personal electronics scene was really starting to take off; a time when everybody who was anybody possessed a computerised wristwatch with a red LED display, not to mention a microwave oven. Following a very poorly timed coughing fit, the Heavenly lift crash lands upon the Earth in a time after the holocaust event. Gabriel and Jeremy must make their way to a small village in west Wales, renamed Utopia Ville, to meet up with a small band of survivors who weren't at all intent upon rape or cavorting around upon vulgar looking motorcycles; the only people in the atomically ravaged land capable of repairing the Heavenly lift. But, after a minor skirmish in the east Wales town of Cwmbran, the Devil and his foul minions are now hot upon their heels.
