In 1966 I joined in The United States Army as a Medic Corpsman. I served my country until 1968 and came home to my family. I have always had a passion for poetry, just did not have the time to dedicate to it. Now that my children are grown and my time is my own, I have set out to pursue my dream of writing and publishing poetry. I specialize in spoken words poetry at poetry events and clubs. Writing and expressing poetry to me means passion, the passion behind expressing your emotions through words can be liberating for the poet and the reader. I look forward to seeing where this path takes me. I subtitled this book 'Through a Poet's Eye' because as of today I am only able to see out of one eye. My dedication to follow my passion and do what I love no matter what is my testament of being a relentless pursuer of my dreams. In life circumstance my cause us to at times put our dreams to the side, but we should never give up on them.
