Catalina Ruiz is a recruiter for a major music labeling company. She is assigned to recruit a band in El Paso, Texas, near the border close to Ciudad Juarez. Uninterested in seeing her relatives that she has not kept in touch with, she begrudgingly goes with the promise of promotion and extra pay.
