When Shadows Creep

Flynn Freemont thought he'd be fine living on his own. He'd been fine for as long as he could remember, and he'd be fine for the rest of time. There had been a time when he'd needed to escape the confines of Caldwell Manor. The idea of spending an eternity within it had given him cold chills and hot rage. Flynn finally broke all ties with the ones he left behind and ran off on his own. He'd abandoned their way of life, those rules, and those responsibilities. But now, something else has other ideas. It came crawling out of the shadows, and it watched. And it waited. Now, Flynn's life is in danger and his adoptive family has returned to help. It reveled in its new home, this new Manor with its shifting and contorting rooms, its shadows, and corners where it could wait out Flynn's resistance. The darkness could bide its time, and strike when the guardians of the Manor were at their weakest. But in order for the guardians to save this world and all others from the approaching evil, they must shed old wounds and new betrayals, and save Flynn from the darkness. And himself.
