My marathon is the story of my journey through anorexia nervosa. The journey communicates my experiences as a child that influenced my self perception and food choices later in life. As a child I hated running but eventually found a new freedom that running allowed me to have. Eventually the freedom would turn into bondage and came close to costing me my life. Battling anorexia was the hardest thing I've ever done. I encourage anyone battling an eating disorder past or present know that you are not alone. Know that recovery is possible as long as you keep moving forward!
