Prose Poesy is two stories made up of strong imagery, and internal rhyme and rhythm produced from poetic inspiration. "The Foolishly Romantic Side of Antoine Parks" is erotic, internal rhyme that takes us on a walk through the life of 36-year-old Antoine Parks. The tour is one of introspection, pathos, and peccadilloes. His artistic sensibilities are offset by the shoot-from-the-hip chauvinism of his best friend, the ironically named Curtis Fullilove. Sexual conquest has become a metaphor for the lives of both men, until Antoine tries to unravel the enigma and elusiveness of lasting love. The second story centers on twelve poets transported through time to an 1870s desert saloon for a poetry competition. The event is sponsored by mysterious millionaire who is an instructor of poetry and astronomy. The poets include a noted womanizer who enjoys wordplay as much as foreplay; an east coast wordsmith known for his X-rated one-man shows; and an enigmatic poetess/seductress. There can be but one winner, which raise the question, who will "Recite... and Die"?
