Bear has lived in the country all of his life where he has chickens to hear, cows to watch, horses to talk to and bunnies to chase. Life is good. He is free to roam wherever he pleases. He has a water bowl, food dish, and a place to get in out of the weather whenever he wants. Then everything changes. The children of the family grow-up and leave, the mama of the family dies leaving just Bear and his daddy Harve. After a while, Harve decides to sell the farm and move into the city.
