The Jubilation Of The Heart: A Collection Of Poems Of Encouragement

When I began writing, over forty years ago, I focused on the heart. Although I did not fully comprehend what I was going to discover, the more my mind focused on the heart the more I realized why the Lord Almighty placed it in the center of all human and spiritual activity. Each human being learns early in life that their ongoing existence depends on and is sustained by their beating heart. Although we can't directly visualize our hearts, we know that it beats inside our chest and continues to repeat its perpetual beat without our direct assistance. This miracle of creation stimulated my curiosity and led me to explore in greater depth the majesty of the heart, which transcends into our spiritual world. Our temporal bodies can be viewed as shells covering and protecting our spiritual inner beings. Being temporary, God has provided numerous gifts or tools to aid us in our self-discovery process. Our main assignment or purpose in life's human form is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. It is my hope and my prayer that the thoughts conveyed in my poems will be an aid to expand understanding by encouraging a strong desire to seek and to claim Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and to spread the truth to others in your sphere of influence.
