A true life journey of a humble woman and her family. The author had an awesome spiritual encounter while living as a postulant in a Maryknoll Missionary convent. The experience filled her with joy, peace and love and made her feel as though she had one foot in heaven. She describes this as the spirit actually moving her along with clear guidance which lead her to leave the convent, and to her future husband. After marriage and even after having four children, she pursued more education and became a registered nurse. Having a desire to improve herself again, and after many more hours and months of study, she became a certified chaplain and parish nurse. None of the education and training could have prepared her for the unbelievable shock of losing her beautiful daughter and grandson after a deadly fall in Okinawa, Japan. This loss was the most difficult and painful time of her life, and she explains to the reader in heartwrenching words how she and her husband journeyed through the grieving process. The book comes alive with many pictures of family and career accomplishments. It is positive, uplifting and inspiring and shows how even good can come out of tragedy.
