The Blue Star Apartments

Evil walks among them and they do nothing.

Gas station attendant JJ has learned over the years that evil always needs a home, and he's convinced that it's taken up residence at the Blue Star Apartments in Casper, Wyoming. A peculiar suicide and a bloody massacre at the Blue Star are just two in a string of deaths, kidnappings, and terrifying encounters that occur there over the years. The frequency and magnitude of the violence surrounding the apartments and the presence of the "tall man"-the incarnation and manifestation of darkness-terrify JJ, and the seemingly innocuous cigarettes give way to booze, the tragic loss of all his loved ones, and an increasingly desperate attempt to get to the bottom of the horrors he's witnessed.

Years later, when a dying JJ meets semiretired detective Greg Weston at a hospital, JJ passes on his tale in the hopes that Weston will take on his burden. The siren call of the mysterious evil lures the detective to Casper, where unusual dreams confirm some of JJ's story. Now Weston could have his own rendezvous with death, for the tall man stalks him now. Will Weston be able to evict evil from the Blue Star for good?
