The Plains and the People: A History of Upper Baton Rouge Parish

The residents of The Plains should be proud of
the part their ancestors played in creating the colorful history of this
section of Louisiana. The Old World cultures of France, Spain, England,
Ireland, and Scotland blended to form the gracious, warmhearted people who
inhabit this beautiful plainsland today.
