Andr?s Hern?ndez Alende (Havana, 1953) is a writer and journalist who resides in Miami. He is an editor as well as columnist for the newspaper El Nuevo Herald, in Miami, as well as a columnist for Suburbano and Voces of the Huffington Post. He has his own blog, called El Blog de Alende. He has published two novels: : El Ocaso y El para?so ten?a un precio. El Ocaso was one of five finalists in the 2013 Novela de Contacto Latino Contest.
