Cary Archer spent his life as a Protector, a member of law enforcement, in a world where everyone had super human abilities. It was not just a job, but a passion. He loved helping and keeping people safe. Until the day his daughter, Ally Lynn Archer, was born, and everything changed. Her happiness, her well being, her health was the most important thing, and while he helped people as a Protector, he also made enemies of those he brought down. An innocent looking package delivered by an old foe set on vengeance, ripped a hole in the fabric of space and time, and the Archer's were torn from their home and found themselves someplace else. A land where people had no super powers or abilities. Unsure how they could ever find their way back home, the Archer's--along with their sentient life form, Nanny and their trusty pet dragon, Loveaby--made a new home for themselves in this new world.
