Weaned in the Desert is not just a book; it is a lifetime of experiences straining to be contained in but a few pages. Brice First Lady Genea S. Brice is a born-again Christian who loves the Lord God with all of her heart, mind, body, soul, and strength. Firmly believing that Salvation plus Education makes a good Combination, Sis. Brice is in perpetual pursuit of academic excellence. Sis. Brice currently holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies/English Literature from Patten University, and an M.A. in Old Testament Studies from Sacramento Theological Seminary and is the founder, president and CEO of a multi-ethnic mentorship program for girls called W.I.N.G.S. (Women Inspiring the Next Generation of Sisters). A published poet, mentor, Bible teacher, and speaker, Sis. Brice's unique brand of scriptural soundness and cultural relevance make her a much sought-after Christian conference and motivational speaker throughout the Bay Area and abroad. Sis. Brice is committed to her family. She is happily married to the Rev. Larry W. Brice, Sr., Pastor of the Peoples Baptist Church. Together, they share two beautiful children: Miss Nicari Brendelle and Master Larry W. Brice, II.
