Every couple I've ever married typically has expectations of long-term success. I know of no one who utters under his or her breath, "I can't wait for this marriage to die," as he or she walks deliberately down the aisle. That would be absurd! They might think that there may be a bit of an initial adjustment, but they genuinely believe that it will be a good life together. Prayerfully, they hope for a very happy life indeed.
