Author of Worlds is the third installment in The Spirit of Imagination series. On their way to Los Angeles to see the screening of Winter Mountain, Kristen and her friends meet an aspiring young author who entertains them with the reading of his epic manuscript. They are transported to a magical world through the experiences of six fascinating new characters. There they come to learn the tragic story of a once righteous man turned evil by the misdeeds of an unscrupulous king. Consumed by dark magic the man is transformed from a peaceful, benevolent, virtuous nobleman, into a violent, malevolent, wicked lich. An undead creature bent on revenge and destruction. The group of new characters sets off on a quest to destroy the lich and free the realm from his tyrannical reign. During their journey they battle mystical creatures, the elements, and human nature to reach their objective. Nothing is quite as it seems however, and the end comes with its own special twists and turns. Through it all Kristen and her friends learn the importance of guarding their hearts against all forms of depravity. They also learn that even though sometimes bad things happen to good people, oftentimes good people are given the opportunity to change bad things.
