This collection follows a young girl as she comes into her power with the aid of a mysterious River Goddess, a number of helpful animals and non-human others, and a very old friend. Alyssa faces many dangers and overcomes numerous challenges along the way. Since childhood, Valentine McKay-Riddell, PhD, has been fascinated with the real magic in the world. Valentine has taught postgraduate courses in psychology, shamanism, leadership, and writing for colleges in California, South Carolina, and New Mexico. She lives with her husband Lewis Riddell in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she has a private practice in holistic wellness counseling and shamanic healing.
