Some time ago, I asked my family to record the events that were important in our family history before those who knew about them had passed. My pleas largely fell upon deaf ears. I decided I would not allow the same to happen with my own story, so I began to write down some of what I remembered from my past. As I looked back, I could see that the struggles of life, though not pleasant, were an important part in making me who I am today. I can relate to and empathize with the struggles of others, because I have been there myself in many cases. I wanted to make sure I recorded what I had learned so that I could pass it on to my daughter and my family. Before I knew it, I had a book: this one. To all who read this story, this is what I remember from my days past. My life has been far from what I expected, but much more than I deserved. God is so good.
