The book contains a brief history of how the garden was established, as well as how the Peace Chapel came to be.This is Kari Barchenger's third book pertaining to the International Peace Garden. The second book, Hens and Chicks - The Vitko Collection, was published in 2017 and shares the inspiring story of a boy from Minot North Dakota who started with a packet of seeds and eventually ends up with a world class collection of more than 4,000 different species and 6,500 cacti and succulents that is now housed at the Peace Garden.
