First Words: A Short Book of Shorter Stories

First Words is just that: Taylor Reese's first published work. In this volume of short stories is the work of the best decade from stories that are as varied as her life. There are stories about an abolitionist in the American antebellum south who captains her own airship. A wanderer looking to reunite with his friends from high school after the world is destroyed. There are stories about families, blood moons, recovering from alcoholism and PTSD, the later while on a distant planet. There are stories about a fantasy world set in modern-day Talon City, A woman meets the old gods and learns just how much the church she used to follow has lied about them. A demon hunter learns of a peaceful town inhabited by humans and demons living happily alongside each other. And many more. Suffice it to say, there's a little something for everyone.
