Haven't you heard that Abraham is a Type of the Father? Did you not know that Isaac is a Type of Christ? Thine only son Isaac. And that Rebekah is seen as a Type of the Church? Do you know that Ruth is a Type of Gentile Bride? And how Joseph is seen as a Type of Christ, and that he took Asenath a Gentile Bride.

All these Types are presented to you in God's Word as though you're looking at the Lord's own photo album of the past. We see men who were Types of Christ, and then we see their Brides.
