A Pearl in My Oyster: A Family's Journey through Addiction

Do you know of someone in your social circle that has experienced addiction? Chemical addiction is alive and well in our communities and our neighborhoods. Every day, there is another death from an overdose. In the middle of chaos are family and friends who love the person but are powerless against the disease. This book is a real, honest, and up close look at the monster.

The subject of this book is my son, Casey--the life of a promising young man that was detoured by addiction. The chapters will evoke real emotions and hopefully give hope in the waiting. My faith ultimately led me to my knees in deep despair. The journey was long and hard. God had a plan and carried us through the dark valleys.

Addiction is a family disease, and the words you will read come from real and different perspectives of the family. There is now purpose in our pain as we share with others how we survived and how God will use our experience to give hope to others.
