Being a sports-buff, I have keenly followed the happenings in the Olympic grand- stage with undisguised excitement and interest. Pre-1980 thrillers and 'history-creators' were hungrily lapped up by the various documentaries we were shown as part of awareness in my school. Post 1980 thanks to technology I have been able to savor the mouth-watering fare dished out once in 4 years and this forms the template for the narrative. I am sure it couldn't have panned out at a more opportune and contextual moment as I am sure we are all basking in the 'mind-blowing' resilience displayed by our guys and girls in the recently concluded 'Tokyo 2020' edition.
