Upon seeing for sure it was an animal, Hazie had jumped down from her silvery white pony. The kind, gentle little girl had carefully approached the skinny sick looking, rough furred yellow orange cat lying in a big soft pile of wintery grass. As she knelt down beside him, the cat was so tried, and sick he had not even been able to do more than a feeble low "meow".
