Life moves fast in Africa, and as a young Rhodesian policeman Tom soon becomes involved in the struggle for independence as the 'Winds of Change' sweep through the continent. He falls in love, marries and after three years in the police force leaves to pursue his love of farming.When terrorist attacks on farmers begin he joins the Police Anti Terrorist Unit. The black policeman, Lucas, who worked with him in the police force, joins his unit and for the next 12 years they are involved in the Rhodesian 'Bush War'.
