In November 1984, five Gentile American businessmen, escorted by over a dozen armed Israelis trudged up the steep ramp to the Tel Megiddo in Israel in a cold and blustery torrent near midnight. The Americans represented a megachurch in Texas, the Israelis were ultraorthodox Jews. On the stoke of midnight, the two formed and signed The Megiddo Alliance. In 1985 in America, nine National Guard Armories were burglarized over several weeks. Guns, ammunition and plastique explosives were taken. All official investigations found no leads whatever.Walter Ellis, Director of the CIA, invites his close friend and former CIA spymaster, Dan Good, to visit. Dan now owns his own successful PI agency in Dallas. Ellis asks Dan to nose around the burglary crime scenes unofficially to see if he can see anything overlooked. In his first investigation, Dan accidentally finds a little wad of paper outside the crime scene, but close enough for him to decide to follow up, though he's skeptical it is significant. Unwrinkled, the wad of paper is a religious pamphlet from the largest megachurch in the Dallas Metroplex. He is familiar with the Pastor's name printed on the pamphlet, David Wayne Fuller. His name is only familiar, he knows nothing about him or his church, but he wants to visit him nonetheless. On his way to Fuller's home in Plano, a Dallas suburb, Dan encounters a damsel in destress and offers to help her. It turns out she is Fuller's wife, and things begin to happen quickly. He and Fuller's wife are chased, shot at, and when Dan begins to investigate, one thing leads so quickly to another that he has no alternative but to continue his quest for answers.Fuller's wife, Kathleen insists on keeping company with Dan for her own protection, and she follows him to Paris, Tel Aviv, and wherever, as Dan gets deeper and deeper into great danger and action that leads to Megiddo, and finally to Jerusalem and Temple Mount, until Dan begins to unravel the complex religious aspects that astound him as he finally learns the intent and purposes of The Megiddo Alliance.
